Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Sigiriya/Dambulla

A tour driver will be waiting for you at the airport who is fluent in English. He will drive you to Sigiriya and ensure that you reach there safely. En Route Attractions: 

  • Tour the Dambulla Golden Cave Temple, a World Heritage site featuring exquisitely ancient Buddhist paintings and sculptures.

Day 2: Sigiriya to Kandy

Rise early to climb up Sigiriya Rock to capture stunning views of an ancient fortress. Take captivating photographs of the landscape and fortress from here, but only when the sun isn't too hot! After breakfast, explore Kandy after setting out from the hotel. En Route Attractions:

  • Travel to Nalanda Gedige, one of the best archaeological places, with structures built under the influence of Hindu and Buddhist cultures.
  • Take a stop at Matale Spice Garden (resting point) and stroll around to learn about spices from Sri Lanka.
  • Attend the Gem Museum and Workshop and appreciate the art of gem sculpture from Sri Lanka.

Kandy City Tour:

  • Visit a Hindu shrine and a temple and learn more about the island's belief systems, which are quite distinctive.
  • In the late evening, enjoy the traditional Kandyan cultural dance show.
  • At the end of the day, visit the landmark Buddhist place in Sri Lanka, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, renowned for its holiness.

Shortly after breakfast, we will depart for Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque hill station nicknamed Little England – it showcases anthropogenic structures from the colonial period and is renowned for its tea.

While en route:

- You can walk around Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, where you will find beautiful orchids, foreign plants, and enormous trees.

- Ramboda Falls, located further away, is a striking waterfall engulfed by nature.

- You will also visit a Sri Lankan tea plantation and factory, where you can marvel at the processes needed to concoct Sri Lankan tea and drink some fresh tea.  

Overnight Stay: Nuwara Eliya

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya – Ella

After having a lovely breakfast, we will commence the day's activities with a visit to Gregory Lake. Here, you can enjoy the calm atmosphere and, if you wish, rent a boat. After this, we will walk around Victoria Park Garden; its vegetation is well-maintained and ideal for relaxing.

Scenic Train Ride to Ella

At 12:40 p.m., we will catch the slightly set-apart panoramic train from Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya Station) to Ella. This alluring journey is regarded as one of the most picturesque train rides in the world, as it travels through captivating hills wrapped in mist, vibrant tea fields, and dazzling towns.

Evening Adventure in Ella

When we first get to Ella, we will enjoy the spectacular sunset views while scaling Little Adam's Peak, which is very easy to hike up.

The trek provides breathtaking views of the valleys and tea estates that neatly wrap around it.

Day 5: Ella to Tissamaharama

Start the day with an impressive visit to the Rawana Waterfall, which is set in the greenery of nature. Visit Buduruwagala Rock Temple with ancient rock-carved Buddhist statues showcasing Sri Lanka's heritage.

Mid-Morning Stop:

  • Visit the Nine Arches Bridge, which is one of the most significant structures in Sri Lanka because of its unique design and beautiful views.

Wildlife Safari Adventure:

  • In the evening, go for an adrenaline-fueled 4x4 safari in the Yala National Park, the largest wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka and famed for its diverse population of leopards, elephants, and birds.  
  • Alternatively, go on a safari in Udawalawe National Park, famous for its breathtaking views and its high population of elephants.

After having a pleasing morning breakfast, start the day with a beautiful drive to the ocean-view hotspot, Mirissa.

After checking out, you can head on a road trip to Bandaranaike International Airport or Negombo for your flight. Depending on what time you'd need to be at the airport, you could have a chance to visit the:
